This course introduces students to key theoretical and methodological approaches in visual and media analysis, combining them with practice-oriented formats of academic communication. It focuses on visual narratives, text-image relations, and intermedial forms of storytelling across diverse media contexts. The teaching format integrates online seminar components held on four Fridays during the semester with an in-person Summer School from 29 June to 3 July 2026 at the Neues Palais campus and the Bildungsforum Potsdam. Both formats are compulsory elements of the course. Participants include equal numbers of students from Potsdam and international students from the EDUC Alliance network
